Lack of electric charging points discourages drivers from going green

Research conducted by the RAC has suggested that the one of the common reasons car buyers are failing to embrace electric vehicles is due to a patchy network of electric charging points.

 

There are currently an estimate 7,000 charging points across the United Kingdom, this being comparable to the some 8,400 petrol stations, however the distance to your nearest electric charging point can vary depending where you live. For example in Westminster, you will be on average 0.16km from your nearest charging point, where as in Craven, North Yorkshire this could be as far as 10km.
